I’d be glad to talk to anybody there about getting something into The Fine Print. It could be as little as an explanation of what MindFreedom Florida is all about, or it could be an interview, or it could be a story about human and civil rights violations pertinent to the mental health/illness system in Florida. If you are up to it, I’m sure we could get some kind of article that you would find suitable eventually. Anyway, I hope eventually we can get some kind piece in The Fine Print that expresses some of the position and concerns of MindFreedom, it’s friends, and allies. Rusty’s piece does that to an extent, and the Icarus Project is a MindFreedom sponsor, but I will keep at it until our message reaches your paper as well. Thank you for acknowledging my concerns.

I’ve been on the editorial board since August, managing our email account, and I don’t recall a single message from MindFreedom. The first person to propose a story about alternative psychiatry to us (the new editorial board) was Rusty.

Our editorial board now consists of entirely different people than it did before Summer. Why don’t you try emailing us, rather than making angry, unfounded statements like that?

I’d be highly open to a story about MindFreedom. So would the other editors.

I’ve tried to get something in The Fine Print about MindFreedom Florida for some time, and all I ever got from them was a deaf ear. I will continue to try to get something in The Fine Print about our organization even if their editoral staff aren’t at all receptive to our message about the need to protect the human rights and civil liberties of people labeled by the psychiatric system.
