This blog leaves very little to be said. I don't know how anyone can argue for private profit while our service members are putting their lives on the line for us at home.

Unfortunately, the word "war" no longer is a bad word. Instead of being a horrible act, its a tool of foreign diplomacy. War in our country has become an acceptable form of maintaining the status quo for a few while distracting the majority from the problems here at home...like poverty, healthcare, and our children's education.

War profiteering goes back a long way aqnd presidents like Truman and Roosevelt decried it, but it's not easy to legislate it away when so many of our legislators are owned by profiteers. Worldwide, most insurors who deal in health insurors are require3d to be non-profits. We are the lone exception. Maybe we need to attack the concept of profitting on human misery, such as war and sickness. Congratulations on your first blog. JF

You may not know it but a lot of people have seen this page and agree with it thru a mention on Facebook. I think it'd be a little harder to convince anyone that a war was worth the horrible costs if one of those costs was their bottom line!

Yes! That is so obviously fair that I can't believe it's never been seriously proposed. Of course, some corporations might find ways to cook their books, but others would step up and do their patriotic duty. Wouldn't they?
